Why Qflow?

We are a growing start-up constantly looking to push boundaries in a fast-paced environment, so naturally we like a challenge. We believe that we have a responsibility to leave this world in a better state than when we joined it,  and we are looking for talented individuals to join us on a mission to transform an established industry that is primed for disruption.

We’ve built great traction in the industry and are now scaling across the UK and exploring international markets. Our technology is already being used to improve environmental performance on 14 construction sites across the UK and one of Europe’s largest infrastructure projects, and our sales pipeline includes over 50 major infrastructure and building construction projects across the UK.

At the heart of our business is a focus on people – building a great team around a culture of trust, collaboration, and creativity. A team that will be supported to grow and develop with the business.

The opportunity

Do you want to be part of developing a high impact technology that transforms one of the world’s oldest and most pollutive industries?

We have built an integrated platform capable of gathering and aggregating huge volumes of on-site data in real time, focusing specifically on delivery and waste movements to inform sustainability strategies on embodied carbon and logistics. We are applying advanced statistical techniques to process this data and to understand the causal links between construction works schedules and environmental data, to facilitate better management of key environmental risks throughout a construction programme.

In order to meet this challenge, we are looking for a Data Analyst who is looking for an opportunity to develop themselves as part of a growing company.

Your responsibilities

  • Ticket data entry and processing
  • Support the AI platform by feeding back performance metrics to the Data Science team
  • Support the prioritization of model-building, to optimise the ticketing process
  • Exploratory analytics on datasets for informing model development by the Engineering and Data Science teams

Desirable skills and experience

To get started, you should have a very good understanding of basic data handling/descriptive analytics using systems such as Excel, or handling big data sets. You do not need to have previous experience in data science or engineering. This role will allow you to start in a data entry position, with opportunities to grow with the wider team, including engineering, data science, product and/or sales and marketing.

You should be a good lateral thinker, be curious, and have a drive to constantly learn and acquire new knowledge. You should thrive in fast-paced environment and employ creative problem solving to overcome challenges. Most importantly, you see your job not just as completing a task, but as making an impact potentially able to change the whole construction industry for the better.

We move quickly and are always faced with a new set of challenges each day. We are an ambitious team of 12, and we’ve love for you to join us on the journey ahead!

Compensation and perks

We are offering a competitive compensation, generous holiday package, regular company socials (virtual when necessary), and a great opportunity or learning and development with a talented team.
