Construction solutions platform Qflow is being deployed at the Elephant & Castle Town Centre development to assist Multiplex in the construction phase for this major south London project.
Qflow is collecting waste and material data as the project moves through the early works phase. This is a 439-million-pound project with an expected completion date in 2026.
As with all Multiplex projects, the Elephant & Castle Town Centre development has specific compliance and performance targets relating to waste, carbon, and materials. Q-Flow’s technology, along with its user-friendly dashboard functionalities, allow the project team to analyse real-time sustainability outcomes, in the knowledge that the data that sits behind the detail is accurate and reliable.
Multiplex is using Qflow to record and report the embodied carbon used during the construction phase. By using Qflow the project team expect to be able to better understand the impacts of using different materials to reduce the overall embodied carbon of the project.
How does Qflow work?
Qflow automates the digitisation of material deliveries and waste transfers through a digital photograph. Tracking and managing material deliveries and waste transfers across a supply chain is usually manual, and time-consuming for project teams. This results in possibly incomplete data, making it less effective for decision-making. Qflow is designed to be simple and easy to use whilst collecting quality data. Qflow removes the need for manual and data entry, enabling team site management and a transparent data chain.
